What is Viral Arthritis?

Viral Arthritis is a type of arthritis caused by the infestation of certain kind of virus in the body. This condition is signified by the inflammation in the joints which leads to pain, swelling, rashes and weakness. This disease mainly attacks children between the age group of 5-15 years, however, it can be observed in adults as well. This disease is characterized by the occurrence of acute and sometimes chronic arthropathies. Viral Arthritis is the main outcome of drastic changes in the immune system.

Very few patients can be diagnosed with this disease as its symptoms starts showing on the body at later stages. This disease causing virus gains entry inside the body due to existing infections like Hepatitis A, B and C. Sometimes this virus stems from the presence of other virus like rubella or parvovirus inside the body. These viruses find a way of transmission through the fecal-oral route and sexual intercourse. Therefore, this disease can easily spread through various contacts between the infected person and his multiple partners.
