What types of Alternative Treatments are there for Arthritis?

Arthritis is a chronic disease and it is not just one particular disorder. It is actually one term for several disorders. The most common of them are degenerative arthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. The patients who suffer from arthritis desperately want to get relief. And so along with their normal medications they are also tempted to rely on alternative treatments. 
There are many different types of alternative arthritis treatments like water exercises, acupuncture, homeopathy, chiropractic care, physiotherapy, use of vitamin supplements, herbal treatments etc. However use of foods and supplements has been useful of all cures. Since inflammation is the major concern in arthritis, use of fish oil supplements have been believed to ease discomfort and give relief from inflammatory condition. Gingerroot is a very popular alternative medicine used in both osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. Adding this in your meals can reduce inflammation by blockage of cyclooxygenase enzyme.  
Some other herbal and home remedies for arthritis include consumption of potato juice, pineapple juice, garlic etc.  

Some people have also experienced relief with sea bathing because of high content of natural iodine in sea water.
