Several viruses have been known as the major cause of the spread of Viral Arthritis. Parvovirus B-19 virus is responsible for inflicting this disease in about 60 per cent of adults. This virus triggers fifth disease which causes soreness, stiffness and pain in the joints. It attacks areas like foot, hand, knee and wrist. Secondly, inflammation due to Hepatitis B infection is another cause of this disease. If this infection is not checked on time, it can cause immense disorders in the joints of the body. This virus easily spreads through blood transfusions, contact with an infected blood, share of needles of the infected person, share of personal items like razors, brush and nail clippers and tattooing the body with a contaminated needle.
Further, the transmission of virus called Rubella is another potential cause of Viral Arthritis. This virus especially attacks women and result into immense deterioration of the bone and muscle strength. In addition, the spread of Human Immunodeficiency Virus, better abbreviated as HIV leads to the progression of this disease. In fact, more than 10 per cent of HIV positive patients face severe joint aches, mainly in areas like shoulder, elbow and knees. At last, Alphaviruses is another virus that triggers this disease. This virus can get transmitted only via an insect’s bite.
