The exact cause of Seronegative Arthritis is not known yet. However, some of the most possible reasons for the onset of this disease are changes in the genetic structures, immune system disorders and some environmental factors. Psoriatic Arthritis, one of the types in Seronegative Arthritis, is hereditary in form and can be easily passed on to the younger generation from the infected parent. Patients suffering from this disease have the presence of a gene maker called HLA-B27 in their body. Other than this gene, researchers have proven the presence of several other genes in the human bodies as the main trigger of this disease. Further, the sudden decline in the presence of certain immune cells called T cells aid in the development of this disease.
The main stimulant of septic arthritis is the presence of bacteria called Staphylococcus in adults and group B Streptococcus and Haemophilus influenzae in children. This bacterium originates and further spread from the primary region of infection to the adjacent bone or tissue. It further spreads throughout the joints and bones and takes the shape of a Seronegative Arthritis. Occurrence of a severe chronic illness in the patient or his family members makes him most vulnerable towards infecting this form of seronegative arthritis. |
