Arthritis is one of the most painful forms of diseases. The intensity of pain can differ from one type of attack to another. Some times, the pain can be excruciating while some other times, it can be bearable. But in general, arthritis can cause pain and agony.
There are soft cartilaginous tissues surrounding all joints in our body. They protect the joints by acting as shock absorber and providing lubrication between the bones to prevent friction. But when this tissue gets damaged, the gap between the bones reduces and the bones start rubbing against one another when performing any motion. Arthritis can occur in hands, elbows, legs, spine, hips, finger and toes. Spine arthritis causes pain in back and you will feel excruciating pain while bending, walking or climbing. The breakdown of the protective tissues causes swelling and inflammation which is very painful.
Every part of your body becomes stiff and you will find it difficult to move. Arthritis can affect people of any age including even children. If the swelling is not cured, it will go on becoming larger and more painful in future. It can also cause irritation of the joints. Arthritis is one such disease which will persist for whole life, it cannot be cured completely but remedial measures can be taken to prevent further damage of cartilages.
